A San Francisco Bay Area bakery has given a 6-foot loaf sculpture of a Star Wars figure his own name.
The sculpture depicts the character as he appeared in The Empire Strikes Back after being trapped in carbonite.
The life-sized sculpture was created over the course of weeks by co-owners of the One House Bakery in Benicia, California, Hannalee Pervan and her mother Catherine Pervan.
They used wood and two varieties of dough, including a yeastless variety with a higher sugar content that will stay longer.
After the day's labour was completed, the two continued to work at night.
Solo's distressed expression and his groping hands are depicted in the painstakingly created details.
