The younger brother of one of the five victims of a rampage who died in Raleigh, North Carolina's horrific mass shooting on Thursday, has been named as the suspected shooter.


Suspect is a 15 year old boy and he is the brother of 16 year old James Roger Thompson.

The suspect, according to Raleigh Police Chief Estella Patterson, is in critical condition. A law enforcement source stated that the suspect appeared to have self-inflicted injuries.

It is sad news that according to the police, three women, a man, and Thompson were also killed in the shootout.

He was identified as Raleigh Officer Gabriel Torres, 29, who was off duty at the time, as well as Nicole Connors, 52, Susan Karnatz, 49, Mary Marshall, 34, and Susan Karnatz.

According to Patterson, a 59-year-old woman was shot and was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

A Raleigh area was where the shooting occurred. According to the police chief, the crime scene was more than two miles in size.

Patterson stated that the investigation into the shooting was ongoing and that authorities were working on charges for the suspect.
